Pineapple Cove Academy Lil Surfer Kids home provides a safe, caring
atmosphere, a reassuring routine, and many exciting stimulating
activities… providing our Lil Surfer Kids toddlers with
an enormous sense of security. Pineapple Cove Academy’s
professional, nurturing teachers design our environment to keep
our Lil Surfer Kids' bodies busy and their minds engaged making
their day fun and stimulated.
Lil Surfer Kids on the Move
• Imaginary play, blocks and puzzles, creative art and lots
of books are always available for discovery.
• Toddlers practice self-help skills including hand washing,
picking up their toys, preparing for nap time and sharing with
their friends.
• Teachers continually encourage developmentally appropriate
behavior through gross motor activity, such as balancing and tippy
toes; and fine motor skills through crayons and paint brushes.
• Teachers emphasize social growth through circle time with
stories and songs incorporated into each day to encourage language
skills.
Pineapple Cove Academy’s curriculum provides guidance on
the importance of balancing home and school; a young child’s
two most important worlds. If home and school are connected in
positive and respectful ways, children feel secure. Teachers can
build a valid partnership where they truly value the family’s
role in a child’s education and recognize what can be accomplished
by working together.
Lil Surfer Kids classroom has a changing area, to safely and
lovingly, take care of each child individually. Children are taught
how to climb up to be changed and how to wash their hands after
each diaper change. Teachers provide you with a daily report on
your child’s development, activities, and discoveries. We
include eating (breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack), sleeping
materials, diapering schedules, and information on special unique
moments throughout your child’s day. Lil Surfer Kids have
their very own playground, to explore their outside world. On
hot summer days the Lil Surfer Kids have a splashing good time
enjoying our no depth water park!
Lil Surfer Kids children are learning about themselves and
their abilities. Toddlers will develop friendships, confidence,
and self-esteem.
